Walk along the Monmouth to Brecon Canal and Usk Valley Walk, or enjoy golf courses, fishing, water sports on Llangfedd reservoir in summer and canoeing on the Wye. Visit Raglan Castle, Hay-on-Wye, the Roman fortress at Caerleon, the Usk Museum of Rural Life and Tintern Abbey. Usk, 3 miles, a regular winner of Britain in Bloom has local services, antique shops and restaurants. The Open Gardens Weekend (late June) is a must. |
